Important Course Changes Starting Fall 2025
Common Course Numbering Beginning Fall 2025, California Community Colleges are adopting a Common Course Numbering (CCN) system. This means that courses with the same content will now have the same number across all community colleges in the state, making it easier to transfer and understand course equivalencies. Several Ventura College courses will be getting new numbers as part of this change.

Important Course Changes Starting Fall 2025
Chemistry (CHEM) Course Numbering: Starting Fall 2025, Chemistry classes that include both a lecture and a lab will be offered as one combined course with a single CRN (course number). This change makes it easier to enroll—no more signing up for lecture and lab separately—and helps our courses match statewide standards. To reflect this update, some chemistry course numbers have been changed, as shown below.
