Ventura College Promise Program (VC Promise)

The Ventura College Promise (VC Promise) helps eligible students attend Ventura College by covering eligible enrollment fees and mandatory student fees, including the Health Fee, Student Center Fee, and Student Representation Fee, for up to two academic years. The program is designed to reduce the cost of attending college and support students as they work toward completing their educational goals.

The VC Promise Program is a last-dollar fee waiver program. This means VC Promise covers eligible fees after other fee waivers or grants have been applied. If another program, such as the California College Promise Grant (CCPG), covers your enrollment fees, your VC Promise award may be reduced because there are no remaining eligible enrollment fees to pay.

Students who meet the initial eligibility requirements may receive a VC Promise award before the Fall semester begins. Initial awards are reviewed throughout the academic year to ensure students continue meeting all program requirements.

Students participating in Disabled Students Programs and Services (DSPS) who have an approved Academic Accommodation Plan (AAP) certifying them as full time may qualify for the VC Promise Program while enrolled in 9 to 11.5 eligible Ventura College units, as permitted under California law (AB 1885).
