Important Information

  • Students must show a valid photo ID for all visits to Admissions & Records.
  • Students may register in a maximum of 11.5 units per semester.
  • A student's college academic record is protected by FERPA, and regardless of age, educational information can only be released to the student.

Steps to Enroll: 9th-12th Grade

APPLY

  • Students age 13 and up: Apply for admissions to Ventura College

  • Activate your MyVCCCD student portal after your acceptance email is received

  • Complete the Recommendation for Dual Enrollment & Memorandum of Understanding with your principal/designee and parent/guardian 

    • ​​All classes you are recommended to take must be listed

  • Obtain unofficial high school transcript

  • Submit your completed Recommendation for Dual Enrollment, Memorandum of Understanding, and unofficial high school transcript to Admissions & Records for approval 

    •  Homeschool Students: Submit Private School Affidavit to Admission & Records 

  • Clear prerequisites with a Ventura College Counselor

REGISTER

  • Register for classes that were approved on your Recommendation for Dual Enrollment through your MyVCCCD portal under the Register/Pay tab 

  • Students enrolled as dual enrollment students are exempt from paying enrollment fees - All other fees apply 

 

Steps to Enroll: 8th Grade & Below

APPLY

  • Students age 12 and under: Submit a paper admissions application to Admissions & Records

  • Activate your MyVCCCD student portal after your application is processed 

  • Complete the Recommendation for Dual Enrollment & Memorandum of Understanding with your principal/designee and parent/guardian 

    • ​​All classes you are recommended to take must be listed

  • Obtain unofficial school transcript

  • Submit your completed Recommendation for Dual Enrollment, Memorandum of Understanding, and unofficial school transcript to Admissions & Records for approval 

    •  Homeschool Students: Submit Private School Affidavit to Admission & Records 

  • Clear prerequisites with a Ventura College Counselor

REGISTER

  • Students 8th grade or lower: Must request instructor permission prior to registering

    • If your Instructor authorizes you to take their class, they will complete the Authorization to Admit 8th Grade and Below form​ in their faculty portal, under VC Faculty Forms.

  • Register for classes that were approved on your Recommendation for Dual Enrollment classes in person in Admissions & Records or through your MyVCCCD student portal under the Register/Pay tab

  • Students enrolled as dual enrollment students are exempt from paying enrollment fees - All other fees apply

 

 


Dual Enrollment Packet Submission

Secure Form Submission

All dual enrollment packets must be submitted electronically to the Admissions and Records Office by clicking on the Secure Form Submission button. Complete the form and attach any required documentation to the form. You may submit multiple documents through one secure submission. When you submit your form(s) be sure to tell us why you are submitting them so we can best assist you.


Registration - See the current Academic Calendar or your MyVCCCD portal for registration dates.

To register for classes online - You may submit your completed dual enrollment packet to the Admissions Office starting 30 days prior to your registration date.
