After you have completed your Online Orientation, your next step is to meet with an Academic Counselor in a MAP (My Academic Plan) Workshop to discuss your classes for your first semester at VC. During your MAP Workshops, our counselors will review information on transfer, educational pathways, process for clearing prerequisites, how to sign up for your classes and provide recommendations on which classes to take for your first semester at VC.
In-Person MAP Workshops

(Check in at the front desk for counseling)
- Students should bring copies of high school transcripts to sessions
- Students are ENCOURAGED to bring mobile devices to access Program Maps
At this time there are no in-person MAP Workshops. Please complete your MAP online through the Online MAP (My Academic Plan) Workshop. Once your online MAP is complete, you will need to make an appointment or visit with a counselor during drop-by hours for a one-semester education plan.
