Hello EAC Students!
The EAC has been very busy these past few months welcoming new and returning students back onto the Ventura College campus. It has been great meeting so many students who have made the brave choice of higher educations! Here at the beginning of October we reach out to all of our EAC students to remind you that we are here to support your learning. Please be sure that you are using your accommodations in your classes to help ensure success. If you are not sure what accommodations you could be using reach out to see a counselor to review your AAP- academic accommodations plan. Priority registration will be starting on October 30th so you want to be sure to take advantage of this accommodation. The Spring 2024 class schedule is online so be looking at that to prepare for registration. Again, reach out to your counselor if you are not sure what classes to take. Most of you have an educational plan in Degree Works so you may want to reference that for your class choices. Make sure that you are checking your VC Portal and emails. That is how the college communicates with you and you want to be sure not to miss out on important information.
Some of you have been missing Sara Frazier from our EAC Office. Sara gave her resignation over the summer and we are now currently recruiting to fill her position. We wish Sara the best as she now pursues motherhood and teaching- she is/will be missed greatly! We also hired a new Part Time Learning Disability Specialist to teach our EAC V01 classes. Heather Malloy comes from both the K-12 and CSU- Channel Islands- Welcome!
We are half way through the Fall semester so remember that you need to reach out to the EAC for accommodations in your classes! We are here to support you.
