1. Students who are new to the EAC must complete the EAC application for services. 

• Submit the application and verification of your disability (IEP, 504 Plan, Medical Documentation or Disability Verification Form) to vceac@vcccd.edu.

2.  Schedule a phone appointment with an EAC counselor at (805) 289-6300.

• In-person, phone, and Zoom appointments are available
• When making an appointment, have your 900 student ID number and inform the person making the appointment that you are a new student

3.  The EAC counselor will complete the Academic Accommodation plan with you, which will authorize appropriate accommodations based on the educational limitations caused by your disability.  The counselor can also provide you with academic advising regarding which classes to take based on your educational goals.

4.  There are no fees for any EAC services.  However, students are expected to pay registration and other regular college fees.

• Information about Financial Aid is available from EAC staff or the Financial Aid office.

To qualify for Priority Registration, a student must...

• be registered with EAC
• have already updated their Academic Accommodation Plan (2025/2026) with an EAC Counselor
• have completed matriculation requirements (orientation, placement, and student educational plan)
• be in good academic standing (GPA of 2.0 or higher)
• not have exceeded 90 units
• continuing students can appeal to have Priority Registration reinstated, but must meet with an EAC Counselor to do so

• Register online through your MyVCCCD Student Portal beginning Monday, April 13, 2026
• Check your registration date now
  • If your registration date is not listed as April 13, 2026, contact the EAC office (805-289-6300) to have the registration date reset, if applicable.

You may qualify for one or more of the following accommodations:

• Live Captioning (CART)
• Closed Captioning
• Accommodated Testing
• Alternate Media
