Chefs are trained cooks. They usually go to school and earn certificates to qualify for jobs in high-end restaurants. Cooking students who want to be chefs have different choices for education. Some want to be master chefs and create a personal way of cooking. Others want to learn just enough to have a steady career. A few may want to go from being a chef to owning a restaurant. Good education choices will help them reach their goals.
