Ventura College Promise Program
The Ventura College Promise (VC Promise) supports first-time, full-time students by covering key fees during their first two years at Ventura College.
Important:
- The VC Promise only applies to Ventura College courses.
- Units taken at Oxnard or Moorpark College are not covered.

Maintaining Your VC Promise
To remain eligible for the program throughout the academic year:
- Complete the FAFSA or CADAA every year
- Stay enrolled in at least 12 Ventura College units for both Fall and Spring
- Maintain a 2.0 cumulative GPA
- Complete at least 67% of your attempted units
If you drop below 12 Ventura College units or fail to meet academic standards, your VC Promise will be canceled.
Grades That Count Toward Completion
- Completed coursework includes:
- Grades: A, B, C, D, P (Pass), CR (Credit), CRE (Credit by Exam).
- Non-completed coursework includes:
- Grades: F (Fail), I (Incomplete), IP (In Progress), W (Withdrawal), EW (Excused Withdrawal), MW (Military Withdrawal), NC (No Credit), NP (No Pass), RD (Record Delayed).
- Note: All grades--including withdrawal and incompletes--are counted as attempted units.
