📅 FAFSA & CADAA Application Opens:
October 1, 2025 — Apply early to maximize your aid.

📌 Cal Grant Priority Deadline:
March 2, 2026

🧾 Required Income Information:
Use 2024 income when completing your 2025-2026 FAFSA or CADAA.

📆 Final Application Deadline:
Submit by June 30, 2027 — but Ventura College must receive your complete and correct information before your last day of enrollment for 2025-2026.

Get Your Financial Aid Offer on Time

To receive your 2026–2027 Financial Aid Offer before the start of the fall semester, submit all requested financial aid documents by:

Students who submit all required documentation by this date can expect to receive their Financial Aid Offer before classes begin.

📅 Fall 2026 classes begin on August 10, 2026.

Submitting your documents early helps avoid processing delays and provides more time to review your financial aid eligibility before the semester begins.

Please check your MyVCCCD Portal regularly for updates regarding your financial aid status and disbursement information.

Receiving Your Financial Aid Refund

Financial aid is first disbursed to your student account. After tuition, fees, and any other authorized charges have been paid, any remaining eligible financial aid will be issued to you as a refund through BankMobile Disbursements, a technology solution powered by BMTX, Inc.

Refunds are typically delivered 4 to 21 days after your financial aid disbursement is posted to your MyVCCCD Portal, depending on:

• Your selected refund preference through BankMobile Disbursements.
• When your classes begin.
• Bank processing times.

Please Note

• The date displayed in your MyVCCCD Portal is an internal processing date and is not the date your refund will be available.
• Your financial aid must be accepted, finalized, and eligible for disbursement before a refund can be issued.
• Financial aid amounts are based on your eligibility and enrollment status. Changes to your enrollment may affect your financial aid eligibility or disbursement amount.
• You must meet all financial aid eligibility requirements and be enrolled in eligible coursework at the time of disbursement.

The Pell Recalculation Date (PRD), sometimes referred to as the freeze date or census date, is the deadline the Ventura College Financial Aid Office uses to confirm your enrollment and determine your final Federal Pell Grant eligibility for the semester.

Why the Pell Recalculation Date Matters

• Your Federal Pell Grant is based on the number of financial aid-eligible units you are enrolled in as of the Pell Recalculation Date.
• If your enrollment changes before the Pell Recalculation Date, your Pell Grant may increase or decrease based on your final enrollment.
• If you add classes after the Pell Recalculation Date, your Pell Grant generally will not increase, even if those classes begin later in the semester.
• If you drop, withdraw from, or never begin attending a class before the Pell Recalculation Date, your Pell Grant may be reduced. In some cases, you may be required to repay financial aid funds you received.

To maximize your Federal Pell Grant eligibility, enroll in your classes and finalize your schedule before the Pell Recalculation Date.

To receive a Federal Direct Loan, you must complete all required loan requirements and submit your Federal Direct Loan Confirmation Form by the applicable deadline below.

Important Information

• Complete all Federal Direct Loan requirements, including:
  • The Federal Direct Loan Confirmation Form
  • Entrance Counseling (if required)
  • Your Master Promissory Note (MPN) (if required)
• Submit your loan request at least two to three weeks before the applicable deadline to allow sufficient processing time.
• Meeting the deadline does not guarantee loan approval or certification. You must satisfy all applicable federal and institutional eligibility requirements before your loan can be processed.
• Requests received after the published deadline may not be processed.

Students who do not meet the Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) standards must submit a SAP Appeal by the applicable deadline below. Appeals received after the published deadline will not be considered.

• Your SAP Appeal must be complete and include all required supporting documentation by the applicable deadline.
• Appeals submitted after the published deadline will not be reviewed.
• If your appeal is approved, your financial aid eligibility may be reinstated beginning with the term for which the appeal was submitted, provided you meet all other financial aid eligibility requirements.
• Submitting a SAP Appeal does not guarantee approval or reinstatement of financial aid.
