Beatrice Jiang will be performing Mozart Concerto No. 5 in A Major, Movement 1, the evening of Sunday, July 18th at 7pm.

Beatrice Jiang is 13 years old and an 8th grader at Los Cerritos Middle School.  She started violin lessons at the age of 6 from Mr. David Killen, and has been studying with Mrs. Shuwei Liu since 2017.  She has always been in the school strings as the first violin since elementary to middle school. 

In 2016, she performed with the Westlake Village Symphony Orchestra for its summer Gala concert.  She also served as the associate concertmaster of the Conejo Valley Youth Orchestra in 2017-2018.  In 2019, she won the 10th Henry Schwab Violin Concerto Competition Honorable Mention and was reported as the youngest musician in the final competition of the Schwab by the VC Reporter News.  She has made the Gold Medal Honors Recital for the Contemporary Music Festival.  In 2021 she was accepted by the Los Angeles Youth Philharmonic for the Summer Concert.  She also won the concerto competition and was selected as a soloist for the Thousand Oaks Philharmonic Opus Concert which is scheduled for Aug. 2021.  Beatrice is a straight A student with the Presidential Award.  She also enjoys tennis, scooter, Rubik's cube, and hanging out with pets.
