specializations in the field. This program allows students to complete courses that comprise the core undergraduate work required at a California State University (CSU). The Associate in Science in Agriculture Plant Science for Transfer is designed to assist students in seamlessly transferring to a CSU to major in Plant Science. Agriculture and plant sciences have a wide range of career choice available in California's growing agronomic and horticulture industries. Graduates in these majors are in growing demand as agriculture becomes increasingly high-tech and the movement towards sustainable practices increases. Earning a degree in Plant Science is a starting point for careers in agronomy, crop science, soil science, agricultural biology, entomology, plant biotechnology, pest control, post-harvest physiology, and environmental conservation of water, farmlands, open space, and landscaped areas.
