Academic Reading and Writing I
(ENGM V01R credit or ENGM N101R noncredit)
This course helps you improve reading and writing skills for school and work. You will practice writing stronger sentences and organized paragraphs. You will also work on reading strategies, like finding main ideas, learning new words, and understanding longer texts.

Academic Listening and Speaking I
(ENGM V01L credit or ENGM N101L noncredit)
In this course, you will practice listening to academic English and speaking clearly and confidently. You will build vocabulary, improve your pronunciation, and learn how to participate in discussions and give short presentations.
