Based upon your response, you are a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) major. Is this correct?  If not, please restart the math self-placement.

The next step is to decide if you need to take a support class.

What is a Support Class?

A support class will add 2 units to your math class.  Taking a support class will give you a review of algebra skills that are needed for the main course.  A Support course is offered as a pass/no pass class and is designed to give you additional time to develop your math concepts and college success skills in an engaging and supportive way.  Taking a support course will give you the support you need to help you complete your college-level math class in the same semester.

To help better decide if you need to take a Support course, please answer the question below about your High School GPA.

My high school GPA was 2.9 or lower (I need support) - Will add +2 units to your course.

My high school GPA was 3.0 or higher (I don't need support)

If you don't remember your high school GPA, consider whether or not you need extra support in your math class by reading the description above. Then select the appropriate response.  Even if you had a high school GPA of 3.0 of higher, you may still choose "I need support," if you feel like this option is best for you.
