Recommended Class: 

We recommend you take:

  • ENGM V01A (English Composition for Multilingual Students) . This class is the same level as ENGL C1000 but offers more support. It’s made for students who speak more than one language and want extra help with vocabulary, reading, and writing. You’ll still earn transfer-level credit.

  • ENGL C1000 (Academic Reading and Writing) This class helps you grow as a writer and reader for college. You will learn to write strong essays, read and understand complex texts, and use library research. You will also learn how to organize your ideas and support them clearly in your writing.
