Something fun, interesting, and/or unique about you:

Prior to starting work at VC my wife and I spent 6 years on the island of Guam working as missionaries teaching school and leading a youth group. Our daughter was born there and at 32 years old today she insists that she is Guamanian to the point that she has the Guam seal tattooed on her.

Mitch Cervantez

Mitchell (Mitch) Cervantez just celebrated his work anniversary on the 10th of October, with over 30 years working for the district.  He started off as a provisional for 1.5 years, and he’s now been at VC for over 5 years.  He’s married with 3 children.  All 3 children attended and transferred from VC to four-year colleges.  He enjoys camping so he can get away to the great outdoors and he loves spending time with his family.  He has been a youth football coach since 1991.  He loves all different types of movies and music, but I think he prefers the Old School Jamz.  And he gives the best hugs! (…that’s from personal experience! …I met Mitch in 2006, a few months after I started working at MC and he transferred to VC about a year and a half before I did).
