Role at VC: MESA member, SACNAS member, Past President of Sociology Club (fall 2020-spring 2022), Outreach Manager for Women in STEM club, Dean’s List student, and Basic Needs and Financial Aid Student Worker
Major: Biotechnology
Years at VC: 3
Family life: I am the eldest sibling of 2, and I have a younger sister who I am super close with!
Hobbies: I spend most of my time outside of school watching movies/shows with my boyfriend and family, I also really enjoy going on walks with my friends or exercising in general, shopping, watching sports (especially rams games), and spending a lot of time with my family.
Favorite Food: Fries and chocolate covered strawberries.
Favorite Movie: Pride and Prejudice, The Great Gatsby, or Perks of Being a Wallflower.
Favorite Song: Ex Factor by Ms. Lauryn Hill or Cardigan by Taylor Swift

Years of Service: 2 months in my current position, 2 years from 2014-2016 as a Student Worker for Steve Turner
Family: The only son and 3 sisters

Something fun, interesting, and/or unique about you: From 10 to 18 years old, I was a performer in a few Baile Folklórico groups.
Name: Kelli Florman
Role at VC: Chief of Police
Years at VC: Less than one month
Family: Married with several rescue dogs
Hobbies: Singing karaoke, shooting pool, and rooting for Ohio State Buckeyes football and Cleveland baseball
Favorite food: Ice cream cake
Favorite Movie or book: Singing in the Rain

Something unique or interesting about you: I have an extensive Winnie the Pooh collection.
Name: Jennifer Garner
Role: Biology Faculty
Years at VC: 9
Family: My husband Chris and I have been married for 33 years. We have two sons, one that followed me into biological sciences and the other who followed his father into economics.
Hobbies: I love to work in my garden and Southern California is an awesome place for home-grown produce. Each year I add another fruit tree to my yard and the best month of all is August when peaches and tomatoes are ripe for picking. My goal is to have something to harvest year round.
Favorite food: My favorite food has always been spaghetti and it only gets better when the sauce is from tomatoes grown in my own garden.
Favorite Movie: My favorite movies are My Mother’s Castle and My Father’s Glory, two French films back from when I discovered that there were more to movies than the John Hughes films from my teens (but even those were some kind of wonderful.)
Favorite Song: Naïve Melody (This Must be the Place) by Talking Heads, but I love any cover of this song by any artist. My son even chose this song for our mother-groom dance at his wedding.
Something unique or interesting about you: I kayak with my dog, Patrick. He is not a fan of kayaking, but once we get going he is pretty chill and enjoys the ride.
