2024/2025 Veteran Student Award Winners

The Ventura College Foundation presented 435 scholarships for the 2024-25 academic year totaling $940,854 during its 35th Annual Scholarship Awards ceremony on May 17 at the Ventura College Athletic Center.

Of the 269 scholarship recipients, many received multiple scholarships with an average amount of $2,100 for continuing students and $2,480 for students transferring to four-year universities. At minimum, each student received a $1,000 scholarship. Scholarship recipients come from all different backgrounds with different education and career goals.

Each year, the Ventura College Foundation’s Scholarship Review Committee evaluates scholarship applications and scores them following a specific scoring scale. Those who meet all the application requirements and have the highest scores receive scholarships. This past year over $30,000 in scholarships were awarded to 12 veterans who applied. We encourage all of our veterans to apply for a chance at multiple scholarship awards.
