MESA Eligibility and Enrollment

2025-2026 Enrollment cycle is now open!

enroll

  • Be US Citizen, permanent resident, Dreamer, or DACA
  • Majoring in math, engineering, or science-based field major requiring calculus
  • Intend to transfer to a 4-year college
  • Enrolled in Math V03 or higher
  • No previous bachelor’s degree
  • Demonstrate financial need by receiving financial aid
  • First-generation college student
  • Declare a calculus-based (minimum of one semester required) major in STEM (science, engineering, or mathematics) fields.

ASEM members are "Friends of MESA". This allows students who are not full MESA students to participate in all MESA programming. The only limitation is we are not able to fund out-of-state student conferences or provide stipends. 

ASEM students must meet one of our two major eligibilities:

  • Option 1- Be First Generation and STEM Major
  • Option 2- Demonstrate Financial Need and STEM Major
