We appreciate the interest and participation from our student veterans. Please continue to check back for future support group offerings and wellness related resources through the Veterans Resource Center.

The Ventura College Student Health Center also provides accessible, comprehensive health services that promote physical and mental well-being, enhance health education and awareness, and foster a supportive campus environment. Here is a link to review Personal/Mental Health Counseling. Free sessions are offered, and of the many counselors with whom you may schedule, two are veterans and several are bilingual.

  2. Send a message (include your #900, phone number, and question): vchealthcntr@vcccd.edu

REINS of H.O.P.E.

ROH provides the military-connected community with free mental health services. This program allows service members to gather and receive "hands-on assistance” with horses, which helps in working through emotional barriers. They provide a safe space for our veterans through interactions filled with acceptance.

ROH hosts the following monthly support groups:

  • General Support Group: Veterans and first responders – 4th Wednesday of each month, 4:00–6:00 p.m.
  • Women’s Support Group: Female veterans and first responders – 2nd Wednesday of each month, 4:00–6:00 p.m.
