The College Planning Committee provides integrated consultation and recommendations to the College President on institutional policies, planning, and resource allocation that affect the entire college community. The Committee ensures inclusive, transparent dialogue on college-wide issues.
Primary Responsibilities
The College Planning Committee has responsibility for recommendations to the College President in the following areas:
Institutional planning and integration – coordinate institutional planning processes and ensure transparent integration of budget resource allocation, distance education, planning, program review, and student equity
Participatory governance coordination – facilitate communication among constituent groups, route academic matters appropriately to Academic Senate, and conduct annual evaluation of governance effectiveness
Communication and transparency – ensure regular communication with all college constituencies and solicit input on college-wide initiatives
Student equity and success – ensure that equity and achievement are central to decision making and promote data-informed decisions
Co-Chairs
Faculty Co-Chair appointed by Academic Senate (voting)
Classified Co-Chair appointed by Classified Senate (voting)
Administrative Co-Chair appointed by College President (non-voting, except in case of tiebreaker)
Voting Members
6 faculty members appointed by Academic Senate (including Faculty Co-Chair)
4 classified professionals appointed by the Classified Senate (including Classified Co-Chair)
1 student appointed by ASVC
1 administrator appointed by College President

2nd Wednesday of each month from 3:30 to 4:30pm
4th Wednesday of each month from 3:00 to 4:30pm
