Distance Education Summit 2022: "Innovations Born from the Pandemic".
Register today for the 2022 Distance Education Summit which will be held both online and in-person on April 26 from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
- Keynote speaker Maritez Apigo, will explain why active learning and student engagement are critical in synchronous learning environments and will model a typical lesson plan utilizing interactive strategies in Zoom based on humanizing, equity-minded, and culturally responsive teaching practices.
- Guest speaker Sean Davis will present about the HyFlex modality and will provide an overview of his experiences teaching in a HyFlex pilot at MiraCosta College during Fall 2021.
- Distance Education leaders from Moorpark, Oxnard, and Ventura colleges will offer tips and best practices as we explore these "Innovations Born from the Pandemic".
