Celebrate 100 Years of Science

The Ventura College Science Division presents ‘A Century Under the Stars’, a special evening celebrating 100 years of science at VC, held in conjunction with the second day of the AAS Shapley Visiting Lecture, hosted by VC Astronomy and the M.E.S.A. Program. This event brings together students, faculty, alumni, and community members for a night of discovery, recognition, and exploration. Guests will enjoy an engaging astronomy presentation, “The Science of Black Holes,” with Dr. Cameron Hummels of Cal Tech, along with Science Division and M.E.S.A. honoree recognitions. The celebration continues outdoors with guided stargazing and an interactive 3D flight simulation experience over Mars, the Moon, and Earth. Honor a century of scientific achievement with us and look ahead to discoveries still to come! The public is invited to join us for food, refreshments, and family-friendly activities.
