Banned Books Week Events
Let's talk about banned books! Join us for events including a film, a panel, and an evening with poet Lorna Dee Cervantes. The Ethnic Studies Department and the Ventura College Library are hosting these events on censorship and banned books. Events are free and open to students and staff. This year's focus is on the censorship of critical race theory, LGBTQ2S+, science and ethnic studies books. The Banned Books Display is up at the Ventura College Library from October 5-8. Stop by to see which titles have been challenged and why.
