Background:
Elaine Tennen is a family nurse practitioner and currently working as the coordinator of Ventura College's Student Health and Psychological Services since July 1999. Elaine worked part-time as a nurse practitioner with Dr. Thomas McBreen since 1994. Currently, Elaine is also an Assistant Clinical Professor for the University of California, Los Angeles and serves as a preceptor for graduate nurse practitioner students at the health center. For 18 years prior to her appointment as SHPS's coordinator, Elaine was a full-time instructor for the Registered Nurse program at Ventura College. Some of her prior work experience includes part-time nurse practitioner at Oxnard and Ventura Colleges and private medical offices.

Background:
Deanna Flanagan received her Masters from the University of California, Los Angeles in Family Nurse Practitioner and Gerontological Nurse Practitioner. She has worked with Dr. Jeffrey Allan, who specializes in internal medicine - gerontology, from November 1996 to September 2001. She has taught Certified Nursing Assistant and clinical Associate Degree in Nursing courses in the past. Deanna has been working at the Student Health and Psychological Services since March 2000.

Background:
Brenda has worked as a medical assistant since 1999 in a variety of medical settings. She started working for the Student Health and Psychological Services in November 2007.

Irma has been a medical assistant since 1999, working in a variety of medical settings. She started working for the Student Health and Psychological Services February 2006.

Background:
Beverly has been a Medical Assistant for 30 years and worked in a variety of medical clinics and hospital settings. She started working for Ventura College Student Health Center January 2007.
Amy Balchum, LCSW

Background:
Amy Balchum has worked in the field of Social Work in Ventura County since 1980. She worked on an admitting unit at Camarillo State Hospital, supervised children's programs in clinics and schools for Ventura County Behavorial Health and is currently the Executive Director of a non-profit counseling center. Her expertise ranges from mild adjustment problems to serious mental illness, including anxiety, depression, substance abuse and crisis intervention. She has extensive experience with both adults, adolescents and children. She began working for Student Health and Psychological Services in September, 2008 as the Mental Health Advisor and Intern Supervisor. Her responsibilities include recruiting and supervising mental health interns and assisting with the campus crisis intervention team.
Leila De Jesus-Crouse

Background:
Leila Crouse started her career working for various local community based organizations, such as Interface and Casa Pacifica, working with high-risk youth. She spent over 8 years with Ventura County Public Health working with the HIV/AIDS program as a social worker, and eventually a health educator in the Family Life and Tobacco Prevention programs. She has been with Ventura College Student Health and Psychological Services since July 2008.

Background:
Dr. Lambing has been serving as a Ventura County Medical Center faculty member since 1994. Her special interests include rheumatology, osteoporosis and women's health. Dr. Lambing speaks nationally on these topics and lectures for the American Academy of Family Physicians and serves on national education panels. Dr. Lambing serves as the Director of the Family Care Center at Ventura County Medical Center, Assistant Clinical Professor at University of California, Los Angeles, in addition to, serving as Medical Director, specializing in Family Practice, for Student Health and Psychological Services at Ventura College.

Dr. Robert O'Hollaren has been practicing medicine at the Ventura Orthopedic and Sports Medical Group since 1982. Dr. O'Hollaren has been operating the Student Health and Psychological Services's Orthopedic and Sports Clinic and has been Ventura College's Team Physician since 1982.

Dr. Pollack has taught psychiatric aspects of medical care in Family Practice Residency programs since 1981. He served as Medical Director of Vista Del Mar Hospital in Ventura from 1997 to1999. He was the Medical Director for the Cal-Works Welfare Reform Program from 2000 to 2004. He currently is in the private practice of psychiatry (adult, adolescent) in Ventura. Dr. Pollack started working at the health center Aug 2007.
