Step by step hardware & software configuration instructions / tech workshop handouts

Information Technology (IT), in collaboration with our sister campuses and district IT, develops, implements, and maintains Ventura College's technology infrastructure, provides coordination and leadership to advance technology across the enterprise, and guides policy creation and implementation.

IT's responsibilities include: the provisioning and support for reliable voice, video, and wide-area network services to the campus and its satellite facilities; systems administration and enterprise application management; desktop computer maintenance; software support; and phone/voice-mail.

IT reports to District IT and the Vice President of Business Services. IT acts in active partnership with the campus community to provide the highest levels of technical leadership, support, and service.

Email Questions- Need help with your Outlook email or Outlook webmail issues? We have seen it all, give us a call.

 

Phone Questions – Do you have any issues with your phone? We can help with voicemail and other phone related issues.

 

Network Issues - Slow network or connection to the Internet issues? Our team can troubleshoot and resolve any and all networking issues.

 

AV Carts/Gear - Need help with a convention or meeting setup? With advanced notice, we can setup PA systems, speakers, projection screens and other presentation devices for any audience.

 

Software Needs – Our department has the latest versions of Microsoft Office. We can update your software on your district provided device at your convenience.

 

Printer Needs – Is your printer misbehaving? We have seen it all and can help to resolve any printer problems.

 

Hardware Failures –  Is your computer having issues and will not turn on? Give us a call and we will repair or replace hardware failures.  

 

WiFi Internet – A majority of the Ventura College campus is covered by wireless internet access. Give us a call if you would like to connect.
