The Tutoring Center is dedicated to providing academic tutorial support for Ventura College students. The Center’s goal is to help make a student’s educational experience a successful one. Drop-in, group and individualized tutoring are available free of charge to all Ventura College students.
The Tutoring Center is located on the first floor of the Library and Learning Resources building.
Tutors are Ventura College students, past and present, who have been recommended by their instructors. The center also has volunteer tutors, many of which are retired faculty and professionals from the community, to assist students with their classes. Besides helping students with course content, tutors clarify instructions for assignments, help brainstorm ideas for papers and projects, and teach strategies for effective study and exam preparation.
Study groups are also encouraged in the Center.
Remember only smart people get tutoring!
