Federal Work-study

FWS

Federal Work Study (FWS) is an allotment of money awarded to an eligible student to be earned from part time employment on campus.  Working on campus is more than just a way to pay for college.  Federal Work Study Students learn valuable skills, make important campus connections, and build on their resume. To be eligible for the FWS program, a student must have demonstrated financial need based on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).  FWS is awarded on a first come first serve basis to qualified students who have maintained Satisfactory Academic Progress and are enrolled at least half-time.

Students wanting to apply for open work-study positions should complete a Federal Work Study application available at the Financial Aid Office. It is important to remember that funds are limited, and Work Study awards are not guaranteed.
