The Social Science and Humanities Division at Ventura College strives to provide excellence in instruction and direction for students to help them meet their educational goals.

Within the Social Science and Humanities Division is a wide array of academic classes that meet the General Education requirements for earning an Associate's degree and for transfer to a 4-year university.  We also offer classes for a life time of continuing education. We have distinct course offerings in Art, American Ethic Studies, Chicano Studies, Child Development, Dance, Economics, Education, History, Multimedia, Music, Philosophy, Photography, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology and Theater Arts.
