Academic English as a Second Language (ESL)
Improve your English at Ventura College!
About the ESL program:
The all new academic English as a Second Language program at Ventura College helps limited-English-proficient students improve language skills for work, college courses and for life in the community. Students enjoy meeting people from around the world and making lifelong friends. Classes are interesting, challenging and fun!
New! English for Multilingual Students (EngM):
EngM 50A/B Vocational Reading and Writing and EngM 51A/B Academic Writing and Grammar have been designed for students who speak other languages besides English. These multilingual students may not consider themselves ESL yet they have challenges with English grammar, writing and reading comprehension. The courses are also for advanced ESL students who are planning to further their education, such as obtain a certificate, Associates Degree or transfer to a university.
