ASSIST Online

The ASSIST website is the official California state-wide database listing a selection of campus-approved transfer agreements, general education requirements and information on University of California and California State University transferable courses.

To take advantage of this valuable resource:

1. Go to the ASSIST website at www.assist.org.
   
   
2. Select the "Start Assist" link.
   
   
3. Select an institution by scrolling down and selecting "Ventura College" or another college from the pull-down menu.
   
   
4. Select an Academic Year to from the pull-down menu (example: 00-01).
   
   
5. Select the gold "Continue" button.
   
   
6. Choose a "Type of Transfer Information" by selecting one of the following links:
   
   • UC Transferable Course
   • CSU Transferable Courses
   • CSU GE-Breadth Certification List
   • IGETC Courses
   • Agreements Between Two Campuses
   
   
7. By selecting the first four choices, you must further select the department and/or area to further query the database for the transfer information specific to your situation.
   
   
8. For the Agreements Between Two Campuses choice, you must select the transfer university from the pull-down menu. Then select the gold "Continue" button. Finally, you must further select the General Education-Breadth, major, or department to further query the database for the transfer information specific to your situation.
   
   
9. To print the transfer information, select the gold "Print" button on the left side of the page or select your printer icon in your Internet browser.
   
   
10. To access the help menu, select the gold "Help" button on the left side of the page, which directs you to a page with links to frequently asked questions (FAQs) and "Related Sites" pages.

NOTE: Any item shown in light gray text on screen indicates this type of transfer information is unavailable for the institution selected.

IMPORTANT: Students are advised to contact a Ventura College counselor for more information and for details regarding other transfer agreements and options not available for your transfer college choice on the ASSIST website.
