"Ad Astra" VC Symphony & Chamber Orchestras
May the Fourth be with you! Fans of Star Wars won't want to miss music including "Princess Leia’s Theme," Darth Vadar’s "Imperial March," and "Yoda’s Theme," on Saturday May 4.
Ashley Walters will lead the VC Chamber Orchestra and Symphony Orchestra in a program that includes John Williams' "Star Wars Suite for Orchestra"; the US Premiere of Mark Menzies' "Wai-rā-rawa" (US Premiere); Shostakovich's Quartet No. 8; and the first movement from Prokofiev's Violin Concerto No. 1 in D Major, featuring Allegro Competition Winner Alex Fager as violin soloist.
