Spring 2024 EAC Newsletter: Coordinator’s Corner
The EAC has been busy getting ready for our priority registration time. We have been welcoming many high schools to campus while showcasing all that Ventura College and EAC has to offer students! Priority registration for both Summer/Fall 2024 begins on April 15. Please make your counseling appointments now since we will be very busy once April 15 is here.
You may see a new face in the EAC, we welcomed Mackenzie Flanagan to our Team at the beginning of December. She has the role of the Student Services Assistant in the office and most of you will see her when you are using the test taking accommodation here in the EAC. She has many years’ experience in this position at Bakersfield College so make sure to welcome her in her new role!
Please be sure that you request your accommodations early in the semester. We are seeing many students not use to having to be proactive in requesting accommodations and think that the instructor already knows that they need them. College is very different and it is now the responsibility of the student to request these things. Instructors do not know that you need accommodations unless you provide them with the necessary EAC paperwork. If you have questions about this please reach out to us for clarification.
