Violinist and violist Julissa Bozman started her musical training in her native country, El Salvador, where she joined the National Symphony Orchestra. She continued her musical studies in the United States as a Fulbright Scholar.
She holds a BFA degree in violin performance from California Institute of the Arts, and an MFA in viola performance from the University of California at Irvine.
Julissa freelances in the greater Los Angeles area, where she performs with various symphony orchestras and chamber music ensembles. She also plays different styles of music such as Irish and Latin American.
Mrs. Bozman is strongly committed to music education; she maintains a busy teaching schedule in her private studio as well as a string coach for different music programs.
She is the associate director of the Santa Clarita Valley Youth Orchestra and also the Strings Instrument Coordinator of the Music Teachers’ Association of California, Santa Clarita Branch.
