Ventura College Community Education is now accepting registrations for the LEEDŽ Green Associate Certification preparation class to be held on Monday, September 20, 2010, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. at 71 Day Road in Ventura.
This intensive, one-day workshop will be conducted by CleanEdison, a nationwide provider of green professional accreditation training, and will prepare students to take the national certification offered through the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI). Passing the Green Associate exam is the first step to becoming a LEEDŽ Accredited Professional.
This exam preparation class will include a complete review of the LEEDŽ rating system and will go over proven strategies for taking and passing the exam. The price of this class is $345.00.
CleanEdison will also provide Energy Auditor Training with BPI (Building Performance Institute) in November through Ventura College Community Education. This one-week program is schedule for the week of November 8, 2010, and will include classroom training, field experience, all course materials, BPI application fees, written exam, and field exam.
Individuals in the fields of construction, design, inspection, contracting, and utilities will be interested in taking this class to learn how to target, diagnose, and recommend procedures to remedy inefficient building performance. The cost of this class is $1,600.00.
