The photographic works in Robert Bradshaw's exhibition, Slipping Halos, revolve around the question, "What if someone found himself in Heaven and was told they did not belong there?" With these photographs of minutely constructed miniature scenes, which he creates from scratch, Bradshaw explores his vision of what Heaven would look like if Hell was included. Owing to the very personal nature of these works, he invites the viewer to look at them with the same care they would expect from him if he were to look at their own personal vision of the afterlife.
If / And / Or is a collaborative project between Stefani Greenwood and Gilda Davidian. For this exhibition, the duo selected phrases from a variety of sources on subjects such as time, space, color, and distance and proceeded to make images based off those sentences. They are interested in the conjugate elements made visible through the combination of their interpreted translations. It was their aim to use photography to describe itself by transcribing the written word into visual imagery. By experimenting with image combinations and framing techniques, they hope to engage the viewer in a conceptual conversation through the exchange of ideas. |
