Call Community Ed for Job Training this Fall!
Ventura College Community Education is currently accepting enrollments in a wide variety of short-term classes, workshops and seminars for professional development this fall.
Training programs include: Optometric Assistant training, Medical Billing, Pharmacy Technician training, Microsoft® Certification training and testing, Physical Therapy Aide training, CPR for Professional Rescuers, Become a Live Scan Fingerprinting Operator in a Day, Spanish for Health Care Workers, Managing Employee Benefits, and Tools for Caregiving.
Tools for Caregiving is a new class funded by a grant through the California Community Colleges Chancellor’s Office, Governor’s 15% Workforce Investment Act Funds for Allied Health Programs to train individuals to work with the elderly in a residential care center or at home. There is no fee for this unique class, scheduled for both Camarillo and Santa Paula, which will help fill the need for caretakers throughout the community.
Community Education classes are self-supporting and do not confer college credits. More than 200 classes for personal and professional development are available this fall in either classroom or online formats.
