Ventura College Community Education is now taking registrations for a sizzling summer full of classes, workshops, and seminars designed for both professional development and personal enjoyment.
In the area of green technology, Community Education is pleased to offer Energy Auditor Training with BPI Certification. This new, week-long program is designed for individuals in the fields of construction, design, inspection, contracting, and utilities who want to earn their Building Performance Institute certification as an energy auditor. Class begins on June 14 and will enroll students on a first-come, first-served basis.
In the area of sustainability, Community Education offers classes in Edible Gardening, Low Maintenance Gardening, and Upcycle Your Clothing into Shopping Bags.
On Saturday, May 1, car enthusiasts will not want to miss a morning with alternative fuel guru, Joel Woolf, who will conduct a seminar titled Veggie Powered Vehicles explaining the basics of converting diesel engines to run on vegetable oil. Continuing the transportation theme, Community Education offers Start Your Own Used Car Business and Work from Home on Saturday, June 26, with Wayne Williams.
A new, Small Business Development Series includes Writing a Business Plan, Quickbooks® for Beginners, Build Your Own Business Website, Social Media Marketing for Small Businesses, and Starting Your Own Business – The Laws You Need to Know. A special price is available for individuals enrolling in the full series.
In the field of medical training, Community Education is pleased to provide an intensive, three-day workshop in Medical Coding Exam Preparation, Physical Therapy Aide Training, and an Introduction to Veterinary Assisting.
