ADMISSIONS & RECORDS OFFICE

Ventura College has an open admissions policy and requires no entrance examination. However, enrollment in most English, reading and/or math courses requires participation in the assessment process for placement purposes. The Assessment Center maintains records of all test results and test information. Testing for ESL students is also available. Extended Opportunities, Programs and Services, EOPS, provides programs and services over, above, and in additional to the regular educational programs of the college and is designed to assist educationally and economically disadvantages students. Ventura College has created a new program that allows the motivated high school student the opportunity to attend college classes while in high school. Students can earn college credits, explore career opportunities, and take advanced courses not found on the high school campus.STUDENT ACTIVITIES

The office receives payment of all student fees such as enrollment, materials fees, parking fees, non-resident tuition, health fees, child care charges, and sells ASB cards. Students are required to pay health fees when they register for classes. These fees entitle them to unlimited consultations with the Students Health Center, and accident insurance coverage while students are on campus. The Transfer Center provides services to students planning to transfer to a four-year college or university.
