Associate Degrees

Ventura College offers degrees in Associate in Arts or Associate in Science, depending upon the majora glossary word selected. A degreea glossary word will be granted upon completion of the following requirements:

  1. Major: Completion of major requirements as specified in the College Catalog.

  2. General Education: Completion of General Educationa glossary word requirements as specified in the College Cataloga link outside the orientation.

  3. Units: Completion of at least 60 semester units of degree-applicable college work.

  4. Scholarship: A cumulative grade point average of not less than 2.0 in all degree-applicable college and university work attempted.

  5. Competency: Demonstrated competency in reading, written expression, and in mathematics (see College Cataloga link outside the orientation for specific information).
