How do I get started at Ventura College?
Fill out and turn in an admissions application. You can do this online at http://www.venturacollege.edu/apply_enroll/application.shtml OR pick up an application at the Admissions and Records Office in the Student Services Center. There is no application fee.
Take the Ventura College assessment for Math and English. For more information, go to http://www.venturacollege.edu/departments/student_services/matriculation/index.shtml.
Attend a New Student Orientation. You can call Counseling Center for more information at (805) 654-6448.
Register for classes online using webSTAR.

I've been out of school a long time... can I make it at Ventura College?
You will find a lot of students on campus, in both the day and evening programs, who are "coming back" to school. The motivation for returning or re-entry students is varied, from improving job skills in their current careers to seeking a new career, and/or to achieve new goals. Ventura College has courses from basic skills in math and English to advanced career and university-level transfer classes. In addition, we have student support services to assist you in the transition back into college and tutoring services are available for many courses.
I didn't graduate high school. Can I still go to Ventura College?
Anyone who is at least eighteen years of age may attend Ventura College, regardless of high school graduation status. If you are younger than eighteen, you may attend with approval of your high school principal or designee. "Special Admission" enrollment forms for high school students are available in the Admissions and Records Office.
I am under 18 and I dropped out of high school. Am I eligible to attend Ventura College full time?
Yes, you are eligible to attend Ventura College, but it is important to keep in mind you will not be earning a GED or high school diploma through Ventura College unless you are simultaneously enrolled in a high school or a GED program.
Can I earn my GED through Ventura College?
Unfortunately, no. You may attend Ventura College while you are simultaneously enrolled in high school. You can also attend without possessing a GED or graduating from high school if you are 18 or older.
Can my child K-8 child attend Ventura College?
