Definition of High Risk Course: 1) High Enrollment; 2) Leads to completion of GE requirement for degree and transfer; and 3) course success rate for Hispanic students is below VC Fall 2011 Course Success average of 71%.
High Risk / Barrier Courses: A core of 20 courses which meet requirements for degrees and transfer readiness, have been identified as High Risk / Barrier Courses, genterating more than 6,000 unsuccessful grades each year- the majority of which are earned by Hispanic students.
