Committee Charge

VENTURA COLLEGE STAFF DEVELOPMENT

CHARGE: Functions to assess the professional needs of the staff and to develop programs to meet the assessed needs. The committee provides a forum for faculty and staff to discuss goals, concerns and problems concerning staff development. The committee shall be responsible for planning and coordinating mandatory flex days, and shall act as a coordinating body for staff development activities throughout the college.

MEMBERSHIP: One full-time faculty member from each division, with the exception of Social Sciences/Humanities which shall have two full-time faculty representatives, one from Social Sciences and one from Humanities, five classified staff members, one at-large appointment each by the Academic Senate and the Classified Senates, one AFT appointment, one President’s designee, and one student appointed by the ASVC.
