Ventura College Institutional Grants Office (IGO)
"ASSIST" Visits
In order to ensure that Ventura College grant funded projects are compliant/ audit ready, a representative of the VC - IGO office will make periodic "assist" visits to meet with grant project directors.
Purpose of the visits include:
- 1. Identify where the grant application and RFA/solicitation have been filed along with any other official correspondence from the funder. (constituting the award contract)
- 2. If the program is newly funded, review Form 100 and Budget Sheet processing requirements. Provide examples of Form 100's along with preparation assistance.
- 3. Develop a list of questions to be referenced for discussing the project activities, and ensuring that the activities implemented, equipment purchased, etc. are what was proposed in the original application approved by funder. (award contract). If they differ, what steps have been taken to secure the funders' approval for changes?
- 4. Coordinate with Project Director any follow-up meetings, confirming IGO office availability for questions concerning project activities, budget requirements, and district grant policies.
