International Student Admission Requirements

Requirements:

• APPLICATION PROCESSING FEE $50.00 U.S.
  (Send a Money Order made payable to Ventura College).

• APPLICATION FOR ADMISSION

• FINANCIAL STATEMENT
  Submit a confidential Bank Statement that verifies Financial capability for the costs of attending Ventura College

• PERSONAL ESSAY
  Write an essay (one or two pages) that describes your reason for applying to Ventura College. Please include details about your educational background and your educational goals after completing studies at Ventura College.

• OFFICIAL ENGLISH TRANSLATED TRANSCRIPTS
  From secondary schools and colleges previously attended.

• A LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION
  From a teacher, counselor, professor detailing your personal qualifications.

• TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) or equivalent document.
  Minimum score of 450 (paper based), 133 (computer based) or 41-52 (Internet based). For the most up-to-date test center information, please visit the TOEFL Web site at http://www.toefl.org.

• INTERNATIONAL STUDENT AGREEMENT
  Carefully read, sign it and return with the completed application.

In Addition you will need to provide the following items BEFORE YOU WILL BE ALLOWED TO REGISTER FOR CLASSES:

• TUBERCULOSIS SKIN TEST Present a Health Certificate form from a licensed American Physician that verifies general good health and freedom from communicable disease such as TUBERCULOSIS SKIN TEST.

• HEALTH INSURANCE - You must present proof of International Health Insurance, or you may purchase a Health Insurance plan available at the International Student Office

• Un-expired Passport and Visa

• Form I-94

• SEVIS I-20 Form
