Career Exploration


 

 

Career exploration is a process that helps you clarify and consider options for employment. It involves introspection to find out what motivates you as well as where  your talents lie. Research into your individual work preference, occupational areas that  fit  your personality and interests, current job market trends, and educational  opportunities  are all part of the process.

Students are encouraged to take GW V01A - Discovering the Right Career which will give them 1 unit of transferable credit. The course will teach decision making skills to assist the student in making appropriate career choices. 

Ventura College provides two Career Exploration programs that can help you research career options; Kuder Journey and Eureka. In addition, there are many useful websites that contain exploration components which are included below:
