Women's Safety Net Program


The VC Women’s Safety Net is a new program designed to assist female students who are experiencing crises which threaten to derail their education.  If you, or someone you know, is in crisis, and needs financial assistance in order to stay in school at Ventura College, the Women’s Safety Net Program is here to help.

The Program can provide emergency funds for childcare up to $500, or textbooks, materials, fees, transportation, and other education-related expenses up to $200. 

In order to qualify for a Women’s SafetyNet grant you must be:

Graduation girl with hat

  • Female
  • A current VC student
  • Experiencing an emergency such that you may have to drop out of Ventura College as a result, without the requested assistance. 

    A student may apply for assistance once per semester.
