Apply for Scholarships

Ventura College Foundation scholarships are intended to encourage students attending Ventura College and to reward continuing and transferring Ventura College students for academic excellence. These awards are made possible by donations from faculty, staff, alumni, and friends of the College and range from $500- $9,000 per academic year.

General Eligibility Requirements

Students must have completed at least 12 units at Ventura College by Fall 2009 and must be enrolled at Ventura College in Fall 2009. Selection is based on scholastic performance, and all applicants must have at least a 3.00 grade point average.

Application Procedures

PLEASE VISIT OUR WEBSITE IN SEPTEMBER 2009 WHEN WE WILL RELEASE THE VENTURA COLLEGE FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP APPLICATION. 

THE APPLICATION DEADLINE IS THURSDAY, JANUARY 7, 2010 BY 3:00PM.  NO LATE OR INCOMPLETE APPLICATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED.

Ventura College Foundation Scholarships
These scholarships are made possible by funds provided to the Ventura College Foundation through endowments, donations, and funds raised by the Foundation. By completing a scholarship application each year, students are automatically considered for all Foundation scholarships for which they are eligible.

Ventura College Foundation Annual Scholarships
Some scholarships are provided by business and service organizations within the community. They often determine the recipient of the scholarship from the Ventura College applicant pool.

Community Scholarships
The Ventura College Foundation office frequently receives scholarship information from organizations off campus. For more information on these scholarship opportunities, please visit the Ventura College Foundation office Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. In most cases,  the outside agency/sponsor handles the entire application, selection, and disbursement procedure. These scholarships are not affiliated with the College, but they offer an important source of financial assistance.
