VC Foundation: Be Part of the Tradition!
Welcome:
The Ventura College Foundation was established in 1981 and is dedicated to “the support and enhancement of the student educational experience at Ventura College through fundraising activities that provide scholarships to students, grants to staff and funds for special college projects.” The Foundation has contributed over $12 million to Ventura College and its students. Currently, the Foundation provides over $300,000 per year in scholarships and nearly $500,000 in program and capital support to Ventura College.
Achievements:
Over its history, the Foundation has raised more than $15 million in private support for Ventura College. Though Ventura College receives state funding, that funding falls far short of actually covering the costs incurred in providing quality educational opportunities for over 12,000 students. Among the impacts the Foundation has made in the lives of the Ventura College students are:
- Scholarships
- Educational Enhancement Grants
- Special Projects/Capital Improvements
Giving to the Foundation:
Donors to the Ventura College Foundation take pride in knowing that their gifts have helped to create a very special environment for learning that reflects the unique character of our community and our students. Anyone interested in assisting the College by contributing may give to campus-wide initiatives, including capital improvements, to a specific department or program or to a cultural, athletic or educational outreach program.
Board of Directors:
The Ventura College Foundation is made up of a volunteer board of community leaders who serve as the Board of Directors and hundreds of supporters, all of whom are dedicated to enhancing and sustaining the educational experience at Ventura College.
