Fashion Design and Merchandising
What is Fashion Design & Merchandising?
Fashion Merchandising is the process of meeting the needs of the customer through the Six Rights of Retailing: right price, right item, right time, right place, right quantity, and the right promotional tool. Fashion Design is the artistic beginning of the products to be sold and their production. This process involves illustrating and creating fashion designs using such methods as sketching, computer assisted design, draping, flat ptatern drafting and all methods of clothing construction.
Fashion design & merchandising today are in need of well-trained executives. That means college educated professionals at the community college level and beyond will be able to fill this need.
