+Transfer Students
All transfer students may earn a general liberal arts and sciences degree by
completing one of the following patterns:
1. Completion of the associate degree pattern specified above; or
2. Completion of at least 36 units of coursework selected from the general
education/breadth patterns of a transfer institution, and/or from transfer
courses required in preparation for the student's selected major, and the competency
requirements specified. At a minimum, general education courses must include:
natural sciences (3 units); social and behavioral sciences (3 units); humanities
(3 units); courses in language and rationality from English composition (3
units) and from communication and analytical thinking (3 units); one course
in health education and one course in physical activity; and one course from
ethnic/women's studies which cannot be "double-counted" to satisfy
other general education requirements above.
